22/06/21: National Confidential Inquiry into Suicide and Safety in Mental Health (NCISH) – 7th Annual Conference
About the event
A free half-day virtual conference. The NCISH will be presenting the latest UK-wide findings relating to people who died by suicide between 2008 and 2018.
The NCISH will examine the circumstances surrounding these deaths, discuss changes in trends over time, and present their recommendations for clinical practice and policy that will improve safety.
They will also present findings from their Suicide by Middle-aged Men report and from their data collection of real-time surveillance of suspected suicides following the first lockdown, both in the general population, and in people under the care of mental health services. They will be joined by guest speaker Steve Gilbert OBE and NCISH expert panellist Dr Jacqui Dyer MBE. The event will be chaired by Dr Kate Lovett.
