Meet our host the National Collaborating Centre for Mental Health
Webinar – 10:00-11:00 Friday 14th November
About the webinar
Join this NSPA webinar and meet our new host the National Collaborating Centre for Mental Health (NCCMH). NCCMH Director, Tom Ayers, joins our Exec Lead to talk about this new partnership. The webinar will cover NCCMH’s work in suicide prevention, why they wanted to host the NSPA and what this new chapter means for our NSPA community. There will be a short presentation followed by a Q&A.
NCCMH is a collaboration that brings together experts, including people with lived experience. They co-produce guidance and standards and lead quality improvement initiatives that support high quality, equitable mental health care. Their work has a local, national and international reach.
Over the years, NCCMH has supported the suicide prevention community through a range of initiatives. These include co-delivery of the national suicide prevention programme (SPP) including the Suicide Prevention Learning Community (2018-2024). Currently they are working in partnership with Black Thrive Global, the National Confidential Inquiry into Suicide and Safety in Mental Health (NCISH), and Neurodiverse Connection running the Culture of Care programme. They also host the Public Mental Health Implementation Centre.
There are great opportunities for shared learning that will support us in our suicide prevention efforts and strengthen collaboration and sustainability of our network. Join the webinar and learn more.
