Privacy and cookies
This website is run by the Secretariat of the National Suicide Prevention Alliance (NSPA). The NSPA is a cross-sector, England-wide coalition committed to reducing the number of suicides in England and improving the support available for those bereaved or affected by suicide. The NSPA’s Secretariat is hosted by Samaritans. We regard your privacy as important and comply with the Data Protection Act 1998.
The purpose of this statement is to explain how the NSPA processes your data; whether you are just browsing our website, signing up to become a member or supporter of the NSPA, or registering for an event.

Registering to attend an NSPA event
For some of the NSPA’s events, such as our Annual Members’ Meeting, we may require registration for the event via our website, a third party such as Eventbrite, or in some cases, an NSPA Member’s Website. We only collect information that is necessary for the purpose of the event and personal information is not used for any other NSPA activities or passed to third parties, unless permission has been given otherwise. When registration information is collected through a Members’ website, this will be clearly noted, and the terms and conditions of the Member’s website will apply with regard to any personal information collected.
Members’ Area
Representatives of NSPA Member organisations are granted access to the NSPA Members’ Area on the Website. The purpose of this Area is for Members to share knowledge and information about their organisation; its work and the wider suicide prevention landscape.
