Achieve together
Achieve together is a social care provider organisation. We support adults with learning disabilities, autistic adults, people with significant mental health challenges, and acquired brain injury.
How does your organisation contribute to preventing suicide and supporting those affected by it?
Our Director of Wellbeing and Head of Forensic Mental Health oversee dynamic risk registers to support those people with a foreseeable risk of self-harm and/or suicidal ideation or attempts. We have internal nurse trainers who provide specific training to our support teams, and work alongside those teams and involved local professionals to ensure effective risk assessment and management.
What are your current priorities?
Ensuring people supported by the organisation have appropriate support around them as individuals to minimise risk and to have a good quality of life. Working with local statutory and community and voluntary organisations to ensure people access the right support at the right time for them. Ensuring our support teams have access to appropriate training and support to fulfil their role well.
What challenges are you currently facing?
We would like to work in partnership with other like-minded organisations to continually improve our support to people with learning disabilities, autistic people, people with acquired brain injury and acute mental health issues.
