Anxious Minds
Anxious Minds is a multi-award-winning mental health charity dedicated to transforming lives in the North East of England for the past 10 years. The charity provides critical support for individuals aged 14 and above, particularly those facing suicidal crises, mental health challenges, and survivors of abuse.

Our work in suicide prevention
Crisis Intervention and Counselling Services: We provide face-to-face counselling sessions (6-18 weeks). We also provide specialised support for trauma, abuse, financial hardship, bereavement, and suicidal crises.
Recovery Centres for Veterans and the Community: Two long-term Recovery Centres offering weekly peer support groups, training and workshops. One centre is dedicated to Veterans and their families, the other to the wider community.
Veteran Recovery College: We have a nationally recognised programme supporting veterans with mental health challenges. This is in partnership with the NHS Recovery College Collective and other veteran charities.
Community Mental Health Support and Outreach: We provide outdoor therapy, addiction recovery support, and a community kitchen. We focus on reaching individuals who struggle to access traditional mental health services.
Advocacy and Policy Work: We are involved in policy discussions and advocates for better mental health services at the regional and national levels.
