BMR are fiercely committed to an integrated model of workplace wellbeing using a systematic and data-driven approach that’s focused on identifying and reducing sources of stress, enabling employees to flourish. You can’t magic away employee stress by focusing on “fixing” the employees. They are not the problem. Workplace stress is a symptom. Its root cause is often the workplace environment or work design – this is what needs identifying and fixing. This is what we enable businesses to do.

How does your organisation contribute to preventing suicide and supporting those affected by it?

Providing training and support to organisations to understand and tackle the issues around mental health by getting to the root cause of the issue. We provide MHFA training, SFA training and encourage businesses to take a preventative approach when it comes to Mental Health

What are your current priorities?

To ensure that workplace mental health is represented at board level in all organisations as a systemic and measurable KPI both financially and culturally and to ensure that organisations carry out risk assessments of psychosocial hazard in accordance with UK law.

What challenges are you currently facing?

Lack of understanding from leaders on why they need to do this due to their lack of understanding on the cost to their business that already exists.
