Suffolk County Council – CHRIS
Co-ordinated Help and Risk Intervention Service (CHRIS) at Suffolk County Council works with under 18’s at risk of crisis.
Our work in suicide prevention
The Suffolk County Council service works with under 18’s at risk of crisis, with an initial focus on short-term crisis safety planning, drawing in support from the existing network to increase safety and mitigate risk. The team will then complete a formulation and develop a longer-term safety plan to increase stability and reduce the risk of further crisis.
The team’s focus is on creating psychological safety for the young person, for the family, the wider network and the team.
Our motivation for joining the NSPA
The service has good outcome measures and stakeholder feedback; however it is useful to gain expertise from others, we are looking for networking and sharing of learning from providers.
Our areas of expertise
Self-harm and suicide assessment and safety planning.
