Our work in suicide prevention

Due to our commitment of pioneering the most up-to-date information on the delivery of all our courses we have established multiple links with reputable organisations. These connections provide access to cutting-edge material which can be transferred over to our training courses so that we can further organisational knowledge and expertise and pass this knowledge onto our delegates.

We understand that quality and governance is central to improving the quality of suicide prevention training delivered to staff. By continuously improving our own service we are able to deliver high quality training and up-to-date guidance to clients, which in turn has far-reaching implications in terms of protecting their customers and staff members from harm.

Our courses include a variety of mental health courses for both adults and children (including Mental Health First Aid), risk management and suicide prevention, and working with people suffering loss and bereavement.

Our current challenges

Current challenges to our work in this area include a nationwide lack of understanding of the importance of suicide prevention training. Due to the range of  budgetary constraints many frontline services are facing in our public and private sectors, much training is conducted via e-learning. Whilst this improves compliancy scores within organisations, e-learning does not often provide the same stimulation that face-to-face learning can offer as well as being unable to open channels of dynamic two-way conversation between delegate and trainer.
