Our work in suicide prevention
At Green Cross Training, we are passionate about delivering mental health training nationally via our bank of freelance trainers. We do this by offering courses and workshops to both the general public and to organisations and charities. This is done through organisations such as MHFA England and Scotland via their 2 day, 1 day and 1/2 day programmes, initiatives such as “Time to Talk” and through programmes such as ASIST. We are also currently bidding to role out further MH programmes nationally.

Our current priorities
Our vision is, through our network of trainers and clients to reduce stigma and discrimination surrounding mental health. By educating businesses we aim to give them skills that in a crisis people will have tools and skills to be able to signpost people to the appropriate help.

Our current challenges
Our current challenges include encouraging businesses to adopt a more person-centred approach to working conditions and well-being, reducing the stigma surrounding mental health and suicide, and promoting mental health courses through open forums.
