How does your organisation contribute to preventing suicide and supporting those affected by it?

We provide coordinated, forensic, counselling and aftercare services to men, women and people who identify by another gender living in the West Midlands who have experienced rape or sexual assault, recent or non-recent.

Some of our clients feel suicidal following an assault and we refer them for help and support locally.

What are your current priorities?

Providing a timely service for our clients in a safe environment and empowering them to take back control of their lives.

What challenges are you currently facing?

Most people do not know that our service exists unless they have been assaulted and used our services or know of someone who has. We do promotional work in universities so the staff can help students if they disclose that they have been assaulted, they can then signpost them to our service.
