LivingWorks Education
LivingWorks Education imagines a world in which people with thoughts of suicide are well supported to keep safe, access help, and find hope. They provide unique, quality training that empowers individuals, organisations, and communities to work together to keep people safe from suicide.
Our work in suicide prevention
LivingWorks Education provides unique, evidence-based suicide prevention and intervention training that empowers individuals, organisations and communities to work together to help keep people safer from suicide. Our gold-standard training programs – LivingWorks ASIST, LivingWorks safeTALK, and LivingWorks Start – are available worldwide and can help create a Network of Safety in any community.
Our LivingWorks Trainer community is growing across the United Kingdom, expanding the Network of Safety and the number of suicide safer communities across the country. Head to our website to learn more about the options for LivingWorks suicide prevention and intervention training programs in your community, including our LivingWorks Training for Trainers (T4T) program and our LivingWorks Hosted Workshops.
Our motivation for joining the NSPA
The mission of LivingWorks – to keep all communities across the globe safer from suicide – aligns perfectly with the mission of the NSPA. In collaboration with the NSPA, our collective mission will become uplifted, especially in the UK. Coming together with all the organisations and individuals who help make up this strong alliance will allow us to have an even bigger impact throughout the entire UK, something LivingWorks has been striving towards with the introduction of both a Suicide Prevention Manager and Regional Training Manager to support our work within the UK. LivingWorks also represents a network of more than 450 Trainers in England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
Our areas of expertise
LivingWorks has been creating and providing suicide prevention and intervention training to communities across the globe for more than 40 years. Our goal of keeping all communities across the globe safer from suicide has led to many collaborations with others. This includes businesses, organisations and communities involved in suicide prevention and with those who are looking to create a suicide safer community for the first time. We have long-standing partnerships with Public Health Scotland and the Health Service Executive in the Republic of Ireland to deliver LivingWorks training at scale.
Our evidence-based approach has also led us to collaborate on many peer-reviewed studies and various research efforts. We are always looking to see how a collaborative effort can help keep another community safer from suicide.
