Mastercall is an award-winning social enterprise organisation, providing a range of ‘out of hospital’ healthcare service across the North West of England. Mastercall is a patient-centred organisation, providing innovative, safe and effective high-quality care by our highly trained, experienced and motivated employees and GP contractors.

Our work in suicide prevention

Our associate medical director is accredited to deliver suicide prevention training across the organisation and locally. The training has been very popular and is driven by an organisational commitment to reduce the stigma associated with suicide and empower clinicians to sensitively explore suicidal thoughts to complete a meaningful individual assessment for patients. Mastercall is committed to reducing suicide and sharing good practice and resources both individually, organisationally and systemically.

Mastercall recognises the importance of postvention support and has developed guidance to support colleagues if required. Mastercall has developed links with external stakeholders involved in suicide prevention across Greater Manchester.

Our motivation for joining the NSPA

Mastercall is motivated to join the National Suicide Prevention Alliance to share learning, keep up to date with resources and continue to take individual and collective action to reduce suicide and support those affected by suicide.

Our areas of expertise

Mastercall provides a range of urgent and emergency care across greater Manchester. Our expertise includes:

> Out of hospital urgent care where referrals are received via 111 and patients will be managed via remote consultation, a face to face appointment, or a home visit.
> Referrals from the North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) to avoid unnecessary hospital transfer and admission.
> Clinicians provide primary care consultations within local urgent treatment centres.
> Clinical assessment service, referrals are received from NWAS for definitive clinical assessment across Greater Manchester.
