Phoenix Events (East) Ltd was formed in 2018 to provide a professional security and events support service. We organise your parking, traffic management, security, guarding, CCTV monitoring and mobile patrols.
How does your organisation contribute to preventing suicide and supporting those affected by it?
Phoenix Events (East) Ltd contribute by having a staff health and wellbeing policy. We try to have a work environment that values its employees and their families and promotes respect and communication. We aim to support each other with a real family ethos.
What are your current priorities?
– To provide a work environment that values our employees and their families.
– Helping people to understand and have the awareness of how, when, and where, to get help and support.
– Breaking the stigma through promoting positive cultures of well-being throughout the industry.
– Mental health awareness training.
What challenges are you currently facing?
The stigma that surrounds suicide remains a key barrier, unless suicide prevention is prioritised and properly resourced, suicide will remain as a leading cause of death. We believe that more resources need to be invested into better mental health services and we do all we can to change this.
