How does your organisation contribute to preventing suicide and supporting those affected by it?

We’re committed to supporting our staff’s mental health, our managers have recently undergone mental health awareness training, with key members of the team having also completed the Zero Suicide Alliance’s Suicide Awareness training.

We also partner with charities, complete pro bono work and commit to community initiatives, research, and solutions to encourage and support conversations surrounding mental health, creating hope through action.

Utilising our communication channels we aim to break the stigma surrounding mental health.

What are your current priorities?

We are currently focused on introducing wellbeing champions within ROCK, determined to break the stigma surrounding mental health, encouraging our team to open up and seek help where needed. We want to ensure we’re able to provide appropriate support for our staff, scaling our response, and support as required.

We are keen to continue to partner with charities, organisations, and the public sector to further engage in the conversation surrounding mental health and suicide, firm believers that united we can make a positive difference.

What challenges are you currently facing?

Resource challenges are testing for any organisation, we have also faced some difficulties in securing training to implement wellbeing champions, something we are focused on prioritising.
