West London NHS Trust
West London NHS Trust is one of the most diverse providers of mental health, community and social care in the UK. Our 5,700 staff care for people in hospital and in the community, helping them to recover and go on to lead full and productive lives. We aim to be the best organisation of our kind in the country.

Our work in suicide prevention
Our goal is to elevate the importance of suicide prevention, reduce the stigma surrounding suicide, and foster open conversations about mental health. We want individuals to feel empowered to talk about their mental health and seek help without fear.
The Trust’s suicide prevention objectives remain aligned to the National Suicide Prevention Strategy (NSPS). Our aim is to reduce the suicide rate and self-harm in the population of individuals that come into contact with our services, and to provide better support for those bereaved or affected by suicide more generally.

Our motivation for joining the NSPA
West London NHS Trust believes suicide prevention is everybody’s business. As such we are keen to raise the profile of suicide prevention and join forces with organisations across the country to strengthen this message and the work we do.
