Launching a new London Lived Experience Partnership
The NSPA and Co-Production Collective are partnering on an exciting new seven-year project to ensure the voices and expertise of people with lived experience are at the heart of suicide prevention work in London.
To really make a difference, people with personal experience need to be at the centre of decisions, design, delivery and evaluation of suicide prevention at all levels. From strategy and campaigning to services and community interventions.
About the partnership
Over the next seven years, we’ll be working closely with Londoners with lived experience of suicide to lead, shape and co-create this work.
Together we will:
- Develop a set of shared guiding principles for lived experience involvement and co-production in suicide prevention.
- Launch a Lived Experience influencing programme across London, drawing on NSPA’s well established national Lived Experience Influencer programme.
- Support organisations to work meaningfully with people with lived experience.
- Work towards system change in London — making sure lived experience is central to suicide prevention across all London boroughs.

Get involved
We will work collaboratively with people with lived experience throughout the project, as well as organisations working in suicide prevention, across London. Our plans and how we deliver the work will be shaped through this collaboration. We are currently in the early stages of planning and recruitment to the project team.
People with lived experience
There will be a range of ways people with lived experience can get involved in this project. This includes:
- Co-designing our approach and principles.
- Being part of a London based Lived Experience Influencing programme.
- Other opportunities which will be developed over time.
If you have lived experience related to suicide, are living in or closely connected to London and interested in getting involved, check this page for updates. You can also email livedexperience@nspa.org.uk to be added to our project mailing list to be kept up to date.
Organisations working in suicide prevention
We’re keen to involve organisations from across London working in suicide prevention in the project – to support, share learning and collaborate. We invite you to get in touch, whether you already involve people with lived experience in your suicide prevention work or want to learn more. You can email livedexperience@nspa.org.uk to be added to our project mailing list to find out more and be kept up to date.
