Suicide prevention is everyone’s business. Each year, more than 6,000 people take their lives in the UK. The male suicide rate is at its highest since 2001, and more middle aged men are taking their own lives now than in the last thirty years. This has to stop.

NSPA annual conference
The NSPA’s 9th annual conference took place on 24th January 2023 and brought together people with an interest in suicide prevention across the private, public and voluntary sector to network, learn and share. View the agenda and resources from the conference on this page.
Latest news
Since lockdown started the NSPA has held over 20 online conversations with more than 300 people working in suicide and self-harm prevention, and bereavement support, enabling people to share the challenges they are facing, and the ideas and plans they have to meet them.
