How to support neurodivergent children and young people at risk of suicide or self harm
This is a briefing paper on supporting neurodivergent children and young people. It shares learnings from where things have gone right, as well as when they go well. It is for front-line professionals and is by the Kent and Medway Suicide Prevention Team. It draws on evidence produced by a Positive Practice Audit, where 18 professionals reviewed cases where neuro-divergent children and young people had been supported to reduce their self-harming and suicidal behaviour.
