Providing a lifeline: Effective scrutiny of local strategies to prevent or reduce suicide

The Centre for Public Scrutiny, along with the Local Government Association and the Association of Directors of Public Health, has created a guide to help councillors and local committees understand suicide risk, prevalence, and prevention.

The guide includes 10 key questions to assess if local suicide prevention plans are effective, appropriate for local needs, and involve the right partners with realistic goals.
