Trent PTS
Trent PTS is an approved NHS provider of psychological therapies. We are commissioned by the NHS as part of the Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) to provide free, flexible, responsive and accessible high quality psychological therapy services. We provide treatment across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire for depression, anxiety, loss, grief, trauma and many other conditions.
Our work in suicide prevention
Trent Psychological Therapy Services (Trent PTS) is focused on a single aim: providing life-enhancing and meaningful psychological interventions, which improve the emotional, mental and social wellbeing of all clients who choose our services.
Trent PTS offer many services to support individuals who are experiencing: Low Mood, anxiety and depression, stress, excessive worry or difficulties controlling emotions. As well as specialised services for trauma, bereavement and psychological difficulty due to a long term condition. Unfortunately within the clients that are referred to or present to primary care there are many that are at risk of or affected by suicide.
We provide a range of therapies to support individuals, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Counselling, Psychodynamic Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) for trauma, Psychosexual Therapy, and Integrative Counselling.
Our treatments are evidence-based and adhere to the standards set by NICE Guidelines. We also offer flexibility in how treatments are delivered, which can include face-to-face appointments, telephone consultations, guided self-help packages, and books on prescription.
We work collaboratively with each individual to determine the most suitable approach to treatment, tailoring it to their unique circumstances and needs.
Our current priorities
