Member Benefits
As an NSPA member, your organisation will be able to:
- Amplify your voice and drive change: The NSPA advocates on behalf of its members, giving you a platform to share your insights and drive change in suicide prevention at a national level.
- Collaborate and connect: Share insights, ask questions, and collaborate with members across sectors through our member events and online forum.
- Access and share resources: Gain information, reports, good practice, and guidance via the NSPA website, newsletter, and online forum.
- Increase visibility and recognition: Feature your work and logo on a dedicated profile on the NSPA website, as well as via our newsletter and social media.
- Stay informed: Receive regular updates on NSPA initiatives and member activities, keeping you engaged with national efforts.
- Participate in decision-making: Have a voice in shaping the NSPA’s direction with voting rights at the annual members’ meeting, including the opportunity to elect members on to the Steering Group.
- Connect, work with, and learn from our Lived Experience Network: The NSPA works closely with people with lived experience of suicide through our Lived Experience Network. We can provide support and guidance on how to meaningfully embed lived experience expertise into your suicide prevention work.
Member Agreement
As an NSPA member, your organisation agrees to:
- Support the NSPA’s mission: Promote and support the aims of the NSPA as outlined on our About Us page.
- Nominate a representative: Appoint a person with authority to represent your organisation and to vote at the annual members’ meeting.
- Share updates and progress: Provide regular updates on your organisation’s priorities, challenges, and progress, which will be shared via the NSPA communication channels and through annual reporting.
- Keep your member page updated: Respond to requests for member page reviews and updates bi-annually to ensure that your organisation’s information on the NSPA website remains current.
- Collaborate and share knowledge: Actively share information, insights, and good practice within the NSPA community, seeking opportunities to collaborate and pool resources with other members.
- Promote your membership: Publicly promote your NSPA membership and encourage other organisations in your network to join.
- Use communication channels responsibly: Ensure the appropriate use of member communication channels, balancing promotion with relevance to our community.
- Contribute to the work of the NSPA: Offer financial or in-kind support where possible to further the NSPA’s mission.
